Сonfectionary

Eight companies affiliated with the Belgospishcheprom concern manufacture confectionery products. They are Spartak, Kommunarka, Krasny Pischevik, Krasny Mozyryanin, Slodych, Konfa, Ivkon and First Chocolate Factory.

At present the aggregate production capacity of these confectionaries is estimated at 113,800 tonnes.

They offer a wide range of confectionery products, including chocolate, caramel, halva, drops, marmalade, marshmallow, and sweets, as wells as cookies, waffles, gingerbreads, and crackers.

The industry has been rapidly developing. Belarusian confectionaries are running upgrade and modernization programs in a bid to enhance their competitiveness and improve export prospects.
